None of the ideas in any of the work I publish can truly be claimed as my own. I am so grateful for the community of people who have surrounded me throughout my personal and professional life offering me needed wisdom, insights, and support: mentors, bosses, gurus, authors, podcasters, artists, creators, and most of all, my own family. If you like my work, you would love to get to know the amazing people who have inspired me. I consider my work a celebration of our interconnected world.

I love spending time with my beautiful wife and three children. I have many hobbies, mostly involving fitness (the fun stuff) and the outdoors. Another hobby of mine is listening to, reading, and discussing nerdy, philosophical topics. I'm always trying to find the one thread that ties it all together! My current interests are education, teacher workplace wellness, neuroscience, positive psychology, behavioral health, philosophy, cognitive psychology, nutrition, organizational psychology, as well as a variety of spiritual traditions.

I have worked as a middle and high school teacher, in both charter and public school settings. I have worked as a school counselor at an alternative high school. I currently work as a District Administrator over "Health and Wellness" in a District of 58,000(ish) students, leading suicide prevention, mental health, and wellness initiatives for students and staff. I earned a Social Science Teaching degree from BYU, a Master's in Psychology from Utah State University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah. I am passionate about public education as I attended public schools K-12 and was raised by educators. Public education is the foundation of our culture.

I hope that my work will help me connect with a community of like-minded, passionate people who want to create positive change. I hope to see you out in the wild!
